Zeynep Akçay

This is a film that I made during the "Rencontre Internationale - Autour des Femmes" event in Liege, to which I was invited as filmmaker. I had 5 days to develop the script for the given concept, ("par pudeur "- by modesty), shoot, and edit.

At the end; this intermittent mating dance featuring an ironic lust took shape.

 

The technique is pixilation combined with long exposure photography, and It was a  great joy to work with people from Kino Liege and wonderful actors; Gianni La Roca and Marynka Seron.

 

"Hajnal" by Venetian Snares was suggested to me by Anthony, the sound guy, after seeing my frames and  after listening to it, I just could not put any other music to these images...
